My Inner Voices: Ego ~ Super Ego and the Essence
Anat Ben Israel
This professional experiential body-psychotherapy seminar explores the internal conversations and conflicts between the Ego and the Super-Ego, the intellect- 'voice of reason', and the body- 'voice of feelings' between the voice of the 'child-self' and the 'adult-self' etc. The seminar is for body-psychotherapists, psychotherapists, and professionals from different therapeutic modalities who This professional experiential body-psychotherapy seminar explores the internal dialogues and commentary that run, almost continuously, in our brain. For different aspects of self we have different voices like for the Ego, the Super-Ego, the voice of reason or feelings, the voice of the 'child-self' and the 'adult-self' as well as the voice of inner truth and our essence.
The seminar is for body-psychotherapists, psychotherapists, and professionals from different therapeutic modalities who want to explore, and deepen their clinical work with these important and pivotal dynamics of the human psyche. We will use techniques from Biodynamic Psychotherapy which work directly with the body addressing the mind-body connection to access psycho-dynamic processes. The learning is through experiential processes, encouraging the participants to learn from their own personal experience.
We will examine the affect of 'voices' and phrases from our past relations, like parents, teachers etc. and their influence on creating the critical voice which is a part of 'negative self-image’ and its long lasting effect on self. We will examine the internal narrative of one's ego, conscience, personal truth etc. You will learn to create and embody a new constructive and supportive narrative encouraging the creation of a more 'positive self-image' and a sense of 'well-being'.
You will learn various techniques which work directly with the body, bringing movement and flow, breath to enable energy circulation and voice, encouraging sound for "opening" the throat for expression.
The theory, techniques and tools taught in this seminar are from Biodynamic Psychotherapy, the Boyesen Method.
